Quondong + coral beads
All Quondong Seeds are collected by myself and my mum and family, which we have been doing since I was very young, its something I always looked forward to with mum and whoever else decided they wanted to come along. All the Quondong fruits are peel and cleaned and made into jam. I collect all the Quondong seeds, they are cleaned and prepared to be handcrafted into Jewellery, Each piece is unique is the sense that each seed may have a natural variation in colour this can be from the flesh of the Quondong fruit, if the seed is mature or from being buried in the earth. (These are just a few examples)
Quondongs season is said to be from Nov - Mar, but can vary in differing regions of the country, growing predominantly in semi-arid regions in WA.
